About

Industry

Since the early 1990s, League and Legacy have been producing premium custom-decorated, vintage-inspired apparel, headwear, and home décor. Just two hours apart, both companies were proudly rooted in Pennsylvania and shared an entrepreneurial, family-like culture, tremendous resiliency, and a passion to provide best-in-class products with everyday comfort.

In the spring of 2018, these two longtime friends merged to form L2 Brands. Whether it is League’s apparel or Legacy’s headwear and home décor, the L2 team works together to continue each brands’ rich tradition of incredible on-trend product design and detail, outstanding custom graphics, and friendly, dedicated service to our retail customers.

Persona. After receiving the project brief and conducting a kickoff call with the customer, I prepared a list of questions for the users. Then we began conducting interviews, and here are the results.

JTBD. The company’s platform supports complex workflows for creating premium custom-decorated apparel, which involve multiple stakeholders (e.g., production planners, account managers, and sales teams). Each user has distinct goals and pain points. The JTBD framework was particularly useful in this case. The JTBD framework allowed me to deliver a user-centered redesign that improved productivity and streamlined workflows for both account managers and production planners. The result was a more intuitive platform that not only met user needs but also supported the company’s operational goals during both regular and high-demand periods.

User Flows. Creating intuitive and seamless user experiences starts with understanding how users navigate a product. My process involves mapping out user flows that ensure efficiency, clarity, and alignment with business goals.

Style Guides

Style Guides

To ensure consistency and streamline the design process for the redesigned website, I developed comprehensive style guides aligned with the brand book. These guides defined typography, color schemes, UI components, and design patterns, making it easier to maintain a cohesive visual identity across all pages and interactions.

Solutions

Before

There is no clear navigation panel, so users must rely on buttons and tabs within the cluttered layout.

Everything looks the same in terms of color, font weight, and spacing, making it hard to distinguish between critical and secondary information

After

Improved Navigation – A left-hand navigation panel organizes different sections like Customers, Orders, and Shipping, making it easier to switch between views.
Enhanced Readability – The font size, contrast, and spacing are improved, making the interface more accessible and reducing visual clutter.
